Many of us wear "nice" as a badge of honor.
We mistakenly believe if we're a "nice" person, we're exempt from hurtful behaviors of others. Although sometimes that's true, the majority of the time, being uber nice is an invitation for others to take advantage of us, use us and even emotionally abuse us.
But the good news is we don't have to give up "niceness" to have respectful relationships. It's simply not necessary to trade nice or respect. We CAN be nice and teach others how to treat us at the same time. WIN!
In Episode #46 (I can't believe I've already recorded that many), I talk about what being "too nice" really means, the message it gives to others and how confidence is a more attractive trait than "too nice".
