On 08/12/2017, The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh hosted the 2017 Teen Media Awards at the library's main branch in Oakland. The ceremony honored the works of Pittsburgh area youth through the Labsy Awards and the Ralph Munn Creative Writing Contest. Youth Express microphones were on hand to hear from members of CLP's staff, teen attendees, and community advocates to encapsulate the spirit of the event.
