Description

Welcome to the world of Offense Specific clinical work! Individuals who have been convicted of a sex offense face some unique challenges and stigmas-perhaps some of the most brutal stigmas of any convict person! What is at stake for them, particularly if they are minors? What role does gender play in increasing the stigma and risk? How is the system set up for them to succeed...or fail? What can we clinicians and lay people do to help? And where do we as a culture need to mature in our understanding of sex, gender, sex education, stigma and prejudice?

Rhys Pasimio sat down with Zach Guzman, a social worker and neurofeedback practitioner in Colorado Springs for an enlightening and challenging conversation around these questions and more. Listen along, and join the conversation!
