A campy sendup of 1950s psychodramas, 1960s beach party movies, and 1980s slasher films, Psycho Beach Party tells the story of Florence “Chicklet” Forrest, a wannabe surfer dealing with a serious case of multiple personality disorder while murders are being committed in her small beach town. Hysterical, right? Ashley and Britney discuss the downsides of adapting a play to film, how nostalgia plays into our interpretation of history, and who this movie is really made for (spoiler alert: it’s not us).
