Description

This week on Black Girl Film Club, we tackle part 2 of our theme on passing with 2021's Passing, directed by Rebecca Hall and starring Ruth Negga, Tessa Thompson, Andre Holland, and Alexander Skarsgard.

In this episode, we go into the similarities and differences the film and Nella Larsen's novel, using passing as a way to achieve power and autonomy in early 20th century America, and what happens when white people attempt to pass using Black girl aesthetics.
