A recent poll taken of 820 American Evangelicals found they were more likely to identify as an American first, rather than as a Christian. In the first century, the Philippians valued their Roman citizenship over their heavenly one. Yet the Kingdom of Heaven has prevailing commands, challenges, and consequences for its citizens.
