The Apostle Paul tells Timothy "the Law is good". Have you ever thought about that? When was the last time you heard anyone say "The Law of God is good"? We say that God is good, we say the gospel is good, we even say Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is good. But do we think the law is good? The truth is it is good. In fact, the law is beautiful and glorious. Because the law is the foundation on which we stand to take hold of the gospel. The law reveals the character of God, restrains evil in the world, reveals our need for Christ, and sanctifies us reminding us of our continual need for God's grace.
