The disciple told Jesus to look at the temple, a beautiful site to behold. But Jesus reaction was
completely unexpected. He said the temple would be utterly destroyed. But why? Because the
judgement of God was upon the temple and the religious leaders and the nation of Israel for their
unfaithfulness and lack of fruit. Even though this was fulfilled in AD and the temple was destroyed, this
text stand as a warning to us today. God will judge nations for their unfaithfulness and he will judge
religious leaders and the church for the lack of fruit. Is this happening in our nation today? (Mark 13:1-3A)
