John Flavel once wrote, "What! At peace with the Father, and at war with His children? It cannot be."
Unity in Christ doesn’t mean that we are all going to be best friends in this life. And the truth is we will, at times, ruffle each others feather and get under each others skin. But what we must do is love each other as Christ loves us, and encourage each other, and endure each others shortcomings. We who have been given so much grace ought to be willing to give it to those in the family of God.
