It is easy to love those who love us back, but what about those who oppose us? What about those who make our lives hard? The truth is those people need our love and they need the gospel as desperately as anyone else. In Romans 9 we see Paul is broken hearted for the very people who have rejected him and persecuted him. His love for them causes him to continue to pray for them, and proclaim the gospel to them even in the face of their opposition to him.
