Have you ever tried to help someone or give a person some advice only to have them respond with these two words; “I know”. And what we discover is this statement is not meant as “I know, I need to do that” but rather it is “I know, now leave me alone about it”. There are lots of things that we all seem to “know”, but that doesn’t change what we do. This is Paul’s indictment of mankind. Mankind knows God exists, and they know what he requires but that doesn’t change anything because mankind inherently doesn’t care. In fact, they know God will judge sin, but not only will they do what they want to anyway, they encourage others in their rebellion against God. Listen to this week’s message.
