After his peaceful protest left everyone with a reaction across America, Kaepernick’s transition from athlete to activist was slowly coming to fruition, his lack of contribution to the game of football was overshadowed by his overwhelming and meaningful contributions to the dialogue of police brutality and racial inequality in America, but with his power gained from his message he lost momentum with his mixed messages that plagued his goals and divided people more than unifying them, with no clear enemy or solution to his protest the media created it open to interpretation. The spotlight and fanbase eventually lead to a full time change in his career and follow again with a very questionable alliance to corporate America, and a company known for oppressing its labor base.
