Description

By 1989 the comic book character and super villain in the Batman Universe would finally get a big screen performance by Jack Nicholson. The performance would define the iconic comic book villain, and despite critical acclaim going to Mark Hamill's voice work on the animated series, nobody would take the task of challenging Nicholson. Then art House filmmaker Christopher Nolan would envision the universe and attach Heath Ledger to tackle the role, and the world would change as his philosophy didn't just motivate anarchy it inspired it in real life.
