Visions Of Light is a production trio with a focus on live performance featuring band members Simon Sheldon, Muzka and Dan Dub Lounge. Simon Sheldon has been writing, producing, releasing, and performing under many pseudonyms for 30 years plus and is the current head honcho of The Freebooter Lounge which also houses band members Muzka and Dan Dub Lounge. Muzka has been a successful DJ playing in Belfast clubs and bars for three decades mixing an eclectic mix of genres embracing funk, soul, house, dub, hip hop, electro with an anything goes policy. Dan Dub Lounge’ Is a self taught Belfast based producer and musician. Formerly from a band background mainly as a bassist his main loves spanning from psychedelic rock to electronic and everything in between.
The band formed when Muzka and Simon were chatting about working together and wanting a focus on live performance, they quickly agreed Dan was the perfect choice and few minutes later the three were sharing ideas and Visions Of Light was formed. From day one it was agreed no egos and the goal was to make music that fused our diverse range of styles and experience in both live and production. The blueprint was simple, let’s make music with emotion that can soundtrack our dreams with no rules or limits. An open cooking pot where they can add whatever ingredients they feel tickle their taste buds.
