Coverage of the Mawlid Celebration organised by the Australian African Islamic Association which was held at the Bowman Hall in Blacktown where not only the African community attended but a number of other communities as well. 2MFM volunteers Sister Lea from the Warna warni Indonesia Show on 2MFM Radio Australia and an active brother from the radio station caught up with the President of the A.A.I.A Sheikh Ahmad Bah, who is an old friend of ours, the Mayor of Blacktown Mr. Stephen Bali as well and a number of members from the African Muslim Community.
Many of the participants of the recent Multicultural Mawlid Concert were invited to attend this event and they performed many songs from this year’s Mawlid. Brother Adam Ali also performed a number of Harmony Band favourites from over the years. Towards the end, Muslims had the opportunity to seek blessings from the honourable hair of the Prophet ﷺ brought to them by Darulfatwa Australia.
