A new Omicron subvariant has made its way to Australia from India raising concerns that It could fuel a new wave of cases around the world like other COVID viruses. In the meantime, the federal Government has approved a number of changes to help boost the pandemic response including opening up eligibility for the fourth dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine and expanding who is able to access antiviral treatment . Hajjah Faten El Dana OAM discussed these issues with Professor Michael Kidd, Deputy Chief Medical Officer at the federal department of health.
