Friday Sermon by Sheikh Ibrahim El-Shafie - Insincerity a Disease of the Heart خطبة الجمعة لفضيلة الشيخ إبراهيم الشافعي - من أمراض القلوب الرياء
The Prophet peace be upon him pointed to his heart three times and said what means: Piety is here, piety is here.
The heart is the leader of the organs; if the heart is devoted to piety then the rest of the organs will follow its lead, and consequently, the person will become pious; likewise, if the heart is corrupted, the rest of the organs will follow in corruption, and consequently, the person will become a sinner. So fear Allah and work for the Day of Judgement, the day which Allah described in the Qura’n as being: “The day where assets and offspring serve no benefit, only the one who has come with a sound heart will profit”
التقوى كلمة خفيفة على اللسان ثقيلة في الميزان ومحلها القلبُ فقد أشار النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى صدره ثلاثًا وقال: التقوى ها هنا التقوى ها هنا.اهــ رواه أحمد في مسنده ورواه مسلم بلفظ ها هنا مرة واحدة
فالقلب أمير الجوارح إذا صلح صلحت فصار الشخص تقِيًّا وإذا فسد فسدت فصار الشخص عاصيًا، فاتقوا الله وتزوّدوا ليوم المعاد يَومَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ إلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ - سورة الشعراء/88-89
