The Scholars of Islam categorised apostasy into three types. There are apostate sayings, where one utters blasphemy by their tongue which is not a slip of the tongue, such as swearing at Allah. The second type is apostate beliefs, such as one believing God inhabits a place or attributed something to a Prophet which does not befit him. The third type is apostate actions, such as one prostrating to an idol. Anger is not an excuse for one to commit blasphemy, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Shafie explains all these matters in detail.
