For those who don’t know, I’ve always been into a variety of genres of electronic music. For this episode, we’re dropping the tempo and changing up the vibe for a journey into all things bass!
I caught up with Constant whilst we were in Sardinia back in September and asked him to do the honours and grace us with a Mixblog entry!
After getting into electronic music through drum and bass well over a decade ago, it didn’t take long for his horizons to broaden to other areas of bass-focused music. With a curious ear and a soft spot for anything with groove, soul or a trippy edge (regardless of tempo), this opened up a world of possibilities as a listener and selector. Outside of the DJ booth, he’s experimenting with his productions and is also a writer for online bass music publication, UKF.
Constant’s 60 minute mix gives us a snapshot of what he’s feeling in the 130-160 BPM range at the moment, taking us through a spectrum of electro, breaks, dubstep and footwork (and much more).
