The Squashbuckler Diaries is the diary of Joy Shelley, a heroine growing up in front of our very eyes, from a child, to a teenager, to an adult. Joy lives in her father's dream. They live on a flying pirate ship called Bonny's Revenge. Together they have adventures and defeat villains. But when her father wakes up, she remains behind, all alone.
At least for the first few years of her life, the Red Dragon watches over her without her knowledge. She is also the one who tells the Squashbuckler Diaries about Joy, whom she calls Dragon Little.
