Having no other way to explain it, Q says he wanted to make something smooth and sexy, some baby making music. Explaining further that the concept was intended to be an instrumental but as it was being built upon, he kept hearing what he called "A Calling" for the lyrics to be added. No paper or preparation, he cuts the mic on and drops the short hook a few times with some harmony layers. Using autotune to make corrections because, well as stated by him "My non singing a** (self) couldn't do it without it (Autotune), or it would take a million tries to get just one take right hahaha. I did a main plus two tracks with the main harmonies, repeated that with the next harmony and then I extracted parts and pitched them to get the falsetto and bass/tenor vocals, **** worked like a charm...."
Q has a passion for music in general. What people sometimes miss is that he is pretty versatile having learned a few instruments, most mainly by ear, and successfully creating and collaborating on tracks in multiple genres, looking to reach further even. He looks to obtain and learn many different instruments because he loves that "Live Feel" when it comes to making certain types of tracks.
"All this digital **** (technology) is amazing, but there is nothing like whipping out a real guitar for that part in your head instead of programming it or trying to mimic it on a keyboard. It could just be me, I don't know, but I love it and want to be able to do it with more than just drums, keys, guitars and percussions. I also played the sax as a kid, haha, xylophone, even tried the trumpet and flute for a while but failed hahaha. There is no area of music I am not willing to learn if need be to do what I want to musically" -Q
So in the end, the guy seems to have an arsenal under his belt. And not even trying to hype it up for this piece, he can already do a ton of things related to music and I don't see him ending the "learning new things" phase anytime soon. It is simply not a problem for the guy to take an idea and bring it into existence, I mean from beginning to end, every step, it is crazy...
So to end this piece, Q The Beat Boy is his name, All Rise Productions is his camp and you can expect plenty of music from all of them in genres across the board, well maybe minus a few lol. Q doesn't seem to have much interest in screamo or country, I wish this was a video piece so you could see his expression when asked...
