This week I have gotten a couple of phone calls with the same question: "I have inherited $300,000, what should I do with it?" The thing that I find interesting about this question is that quite often when people ask, they already have an answer they want to hear and they are not always willing to hear advice but are rather seeking validation. Every situation is completely different and if you speak to a true professional, you will hopefully be pointed in the best direction possible FOR YOU. My best advice for what to do with an inheritance? Go to a professional for advice.
