Miss Candace Johnson is Miss Black DC USA Ambassador 2018. She talks about her life growing up in Mississippi and moving to DC - how it was for her transitioning from suburban to urban schools and her Miss Black DC USA platform. Miss Johnson wants all youth to be prepared for the real world both in soft and hard skills. She also talks about her experience attending an HBCU and how she did not let her inability to run for Miss Howard stop her from earning a title and competing on a national stage for a cause she believes in!
