Description

Welcome to Planet Noun — Episode 41.
It’s been a long time, and a lot has happened since our last episode.

We’re embarking on a series about grief.

Jay Herriott’s been a previous guest on the show. We’ve kept in contact through the years - during my Mom’s illness and after her passing. Then Jay joined the unwelcome club of Motherless Adults.

On this episode of Planet Noun, he shares his personal experiences of grief and loss, including the passing of his mother nearly a year ago. He also explores feelings surrounding his father's death when he was eight years old. Jay also discusses the importance of faith, self-improvement, and navigating the grief process.

One thing about grief — even though there are outlined steps, the process is not linear and can involve revisiting earlier stages.

Losing parents are just one type of grief. Our conversation also considers mourning the end of a relationship and the importance of expressing emotions.
