There’s what we know about holiness in worship services, and there’s what we know about holiness beyond Sunday. It’s in this gap where misconceptions are created. And when we don’t pursue the holiness of Jesus, our selfish attitudes and behaviors creeps in, like weeds our worldliness takes over and they compromise our growing roots.
Today we want to call out the misconceptions of holiness - we can be holy without being “holier than thou. We can only be holy with the help of God. And we can be holy and still enjoy life. In fact, when we understand what holiness is actually about, we’ll actually want to pursue it.
