With roots in East and West Africa, M O D Y & D A H L A K [@mo-sa-538044018 & @dahlaktekie9, Hannover|GER] are longtime friends turned DJ/producer duo from Hannover. Their journey began when Mody’s unused Traktor mixer found new life in Dahlak’s hands – a gift that sparked “love at first dance” and set the foundation for their shared passion for house and groove-driven sounds.
Since then, they’ve grown into a steady force in Hannover’s nightlife, with regular appearances at venues like Monkeys, Broncos, and Pan, alongside their own events Apartment Session, Bunter Bär, Sundance, and FAM!. Their sets are defined by energy, emotion, and driving grooves that connect people on the dancefloor.
Beyond their hometown, the duo has brought their sound to Flensburg (Koi), Leipzig (Golden Dance), and international stages like the Omana Festival in Croatia. In 2025, they founded the label Friendly Faces, releasing their debut track “In My Heart,” which perfectly reflects their blend of groove, emotion, and uplifting energy.
For Dahlak & Mody, the story is just getting started – and the best is yet to come.
