Kejo Buchanan, guide of Jali Journey in shared cultural conversation with Daniel G. Wilson (he/they) front person of punk band Joncro. Daniel is a Jamaican-Canadian writer, musician, music journalist, and Festival Lingua Franca organizer based in Ontario. Creatively driven by Caribbean and Latin American identity, Punk Rock, Jamaican history and diasporic concerns as well as speculative fiction. Joncro's most recent album explores and pays homage to those directives through lyrical folklore of Richmond Station (2021). Reminding us the legacy of storytelling along with its power and privilege.
