We kick off the Creating Toronto audio tour with Stop 1: the St Lawrence Market. Travel back to 1803, the year the market first opened, and learn about many of Toronto’s “firsts”!
This audio tour was produced in partnership with Heritage Toronto, a charity and agency of the City of Toronto working to celebrate and commemorate the city’s rich heritage and the diverse stories of its people, places and events.
Stop 1 was narrated by Emerging Historian Mitchell Daniels. The script for this tour was adapted from Heritage Toronto's Creating Toronto guided walking tour, developed by Emerging Historian Shannon Hamilton. Production assistance and editing by Quinton Bradshaw and CJRU 1280 AM.
