Following a drumming background, Tom Lown started DJing at various parties and clubs in London. A move to New York City saw him pick up a residency at SubKulture and also online outlets East Village Radio and Downshift Radio. Through his work at Ant Music NY, he composed and produced music for TV and commercials. Tom has had a string of releases with Sudup Recordings, Lost My Dog, 3am, Warmth, UM Records, Savoir Faire Musique and 5&Dime, and was featured at Juno’s Deep House Chart and the Beatport’s Chill Out Top 100. Followed by a special Jay Tripwire remix package, Tom later teamed up with producer Harold Heath for EPs released for DeepWit Recordings and Acryl. Tom Lown has recently been in the studio with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recording for SKY’s music catalogue and also worked on Lucky Sun, his new label primarily set up to release a leftfield / down tempo esque vibe.
