Description

Romans 1:15 So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
One of the ways the apostle Paul loved with Jesus was to preach the gospel. The gospel of the righteousness of God given as a gift to all who believed in Jesus was given to him by God, and he considered himself a steward of a wonderful mystery. He wrote to the Ephesians of his call to preach this mystery, “To be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power. To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things” (Ephesians 3:6-9).
How eager are we to tell others the good news that God made a way for people who were not His people to become recipients and partakers of the promises He made to His people? How excited we should be to wake up each day to a life of knowing and loving God by living to love with Jesus, in the power of the Spirit. We know that whoever God puts in our paths, He knows and loves them. I want to encourage you to pray this prayer every morning.
“Father in heaven, thank You for another day of life to know and love you and love with Jesus. Anoint and fill me with the Holy Spirit, the presence and power of Christ, so that I can love and trust You and love those You put in my path today, for Your glory.”
When you pray that each morning, then you can sincerely tell people that you prayed for them that morning. You didn’t know who they were, but you know God did. Now here they are. In your path. The very one you prayed for earlier. Then you can ask if they have heard the good news that God has made a way to bring them to Himself. If they ask how that is possible, then it’s preaching time! That’s what Paul was so eager to do—preach the gospel. How eager are we to preach the gospel? Are we eager enough to pray daily for the opportunities and to prepare ourselves to live to love with Him?
