Description

John 9:15 Then the Pharisees also were asking him again how he received his sight. And he said to them, "He applied clay to my eyes, and I washed, and I see."
John wants us to see how blind the Pharisees were when faced with the obvious truth that Jesus is the light of the world. When people are blinded by bitterness and jealousy, they cannot see the light because they don’t want to. Their blindness was willful. Had they ever been given sight before, they would have rejoiced with the man. The fact that they didn’t rejoice with him in what Jesus had done revealed that they had always been blind. They didn’t know what they didn’t know, so all they could do was try to find fault and place blame. Have you ever been there? Love rejoices in that which is good. Let’s remember that today.
