John 10:33 The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.”
If it had been anyone else, they would have been right in their assessment. Even today, there are blasphemers who make themselves out to be God. By the way, be on the alert for the lie that suggests that we are all one with God because we are part of His creation. Jesus wasn’t making Himself out to be God, He is God. For Jesus to say that He was one with the Father and that His works are the works of the Father, distinguished Him from everyone else. I wonder what people think when we say that we are one with God and the works that we do are the works of Jesus. Let’s be clear in our testimony that we are not saying we are gods or are equal with God. However, we can say with humility and amazement, “We are united with Jesus and He lives, works, and loves through us for His glory.
