John 11:3 So the sisters sent word to Him, saying, "Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick."
Mary and Martha knew Jesus loved Lazarus and would want to know of his illness, so they sent word to Him. Makes me wonder if others can see Jesus’ love for someone through me. I don’t think Jesus’ concern was to be seen to love. His love was as steady, constant, and genuine as His Father’s. He lived to love and it was obvious to the sisters. So they thought Jesus would want to know that Lazarus was sick. May God’s love be obvious in us today.
