The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil (Prov. 16:4). Our salvation would not have happened without the chief priests and the Pharisees plotting Jesus’ death. We already know from John 8 that they are doing the work of the devil. Their blindness and hostility to Jesus’ miracles was stunningly, supernaturally evil. We are watching a similar blindness and hostility to truth today on the political stage. Let us remember that God is always at work to glorify His son as we love the truth and those He puts in our paths.
