John 9:31 We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.
God doesn’t hear sinners. Yet, God hears His people when they pray. How can God hear them, since they still sin? There can only be one explanation. “For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified” (Heb. 10:14). “And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach” (Col. 1:21-22). Because of God’s grace to us through Jesus Christ, we are God-fearing and do His will—we believe in Jesus and live to love with Him—and God hears us when we pray like He heard His Son.
