Description

John 9:34 They answered him, "You were born entirely in sins, and are you teaching us?" So they put him out.
Rather than grapple with the truth of who Jesus is and the reality of the miracle of a blind man now seeing, they react in pride by attacking the messenger. As they are entirely in their sins, they accuse him of their own condition and censor him. From their perspective he is toxic to their agenda and feelings of superiority. The truth is always toxic to a selfish agenda and narrative. This is convicting to me. Do I have a similar attitude toward people that God puts in my life that don’t respect me? How natural and easy it is to find fault with them instead of love and encourage them with what God is doing in their lives—if we have the opportunity. I hope this helps us forgive and love those who don’t like us and want to put us out of their lives.
