John 9:18 The Jews then did not believe it of him, that he had been blind and had received sight, until they called the parents of the very one who had received his sightings ,
This narrative shows us how difficult it is for people to believe in Jesus who don’t want to give up their lives. The Jews were still looking for a way to escape the reality that Jesus is Lord. It’s not possible to believe unless God opens their eyes to see Him, and in this case, He only opened the eyes of one—the blind man. Many are being called, but very few are chosen. This underscores what Jesus taught back in John 6:44-45. “No one can come to Me unless the Father, who sent me, draws them. They shall all be taught of God. Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.” If your eyes have been opened to see and believe in Jesus, take a moment and give Him thanksgiving and praise. And if you come up short on words, look a the last post and declare who He is.
