Romans 1:11 For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established;
Love gives. The apostle Paul longs to give what God has given to him for the good of the Roman believers—some spiritual gift. He gives us gifts of the Holy Spirit that will establish our brothers and sisters in Christ in their faith. How are we to use those gifts? Paul told the Corinthians that the way is love (1 Cor. 13). Without love, the gifts are nothing.
Let’s ask ourselves as we love people today: Will my words or actions establish them and point them to Jesus? If so, we may feel confident before God and know we are living to love with Jesus.
