Description

Romans 2:27 And he who is physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the Law, will he not judge you who though having the letter of the Law and circumcision are a transgressor of the Law?
John wrote about those who believe in Jesus when he wrote, 1 John 5:2-3 “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.” Both Paul and John understood that those who believe in Jesus keep God’s commandments and do them with joy. Paul said in vs. 27 that those believers will judge those who do not believe in Jesus, yet are circumcised and know the letter of the Law. Those who do not believe in Jesus are transgressors of the Law. Those who do believe in Jesus, although they have transgressed the Law, are considered by God as having fulfilled the Law through the righteousness of Christ.
Isn’t this an amazing truth?! What is the believer’s judgment about those who are circumcised, know the Law, yet habitually transgress it? Their judgment is that only those who trust in Jesus can be regarded by God as having fulfilled the Law of God. They also testify that only those who love with Jesus can be regarded as righteous in Christ. Loving with Jesus is the evidence that one is justified before God.
Are you justified before God? Do you live to love with Jesus? If so, have you rejoiced today in your salvation and the gift of righteousness that has been reckoned to your account before God? Live to love with Jesus today as an expression of gratitude to God for His grace through Him.
