August 1998 Gene Simmons left me this message. During my conversation with Gene he said something that still sticks with me today... he can only open a door for me. He can't make any promises about what is on the other side of the door. I have to decide if I want to walk through the door. I took the chance, walked through the door and changed my life.
By October 1998 I had left my full time job in Chicago and moved to San Francisco and was working for Signatures Network, KISS' merchandise company. I was tasked with building and managing the KISS website KISSonline. I went on to work with KISS for 7 years, along with many other artists.
