In Memorandum, honoring Michael’s heavenly birthday today, as he was a friend, a supporter, a shining light of encouragement, and a fantastic man of music. He believed in my work during a time when I didn’t, and always was one to reassure me that staying the course of a creative vision was the best gift one could ever give to themselves. I can see why Anthony worked so closely with him for so long.
This was a project I worked on for him many moons ago for his label—Finale Sessions—which never got released as his health really became a feature around this time. I am making this a “Name Your Price” affair, as my deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, business partner—Chez Damier—a shared mentor, and all who he touched through his gifted soul. He fought hard, and long, and never once showed anything less than admirable bravery. He will be missed by many around the world for his steadfast integrity, perseverance, his unrelenting heart of courage.
Michael was a one-of-a-kind blessing to anyone whom he touched and he will be remembered forever.
