this mix is the first of eight that have been used in a clinical setting by SABI Mind for over three years now. it has also been used by close friends and myself, many times over too ..over and over, as it was carefully designed for repeat use. to entrain to. to reach for as a reliable tool. for the purposes of meditation, clearing, unwinding, calming, relaxing, deepening, inner explorations & journeys, grounding, centering, focusing, resting, drifting, quieting, sleeping, transforming, transporting, healing and other related purposes.
it stands on it's own as a contemporary ambient mix and also fully functions in the sound wellness realms. it keeps the promise of holding space for the listener the entire time, without any blips or trips or artful overly expressive side-quests, just slowly and reliably modulating and evolving and unfolding.
it's called classic abstractions because, it being the first mix in the series, we start at the beginning and honour the foundations and feelings of classic ambient music ..as we also abstract from them (staying present in the now, not just in the past). many thanks and acknowledgements to the absolutely perfectly executed music made by all the artist's in the mix - a decent handful of them being local as well.
