In this episode of Study Abroad, we’re traveling to South Africa to experience the sounds of Amapiano. Amapiano, meaning “the pianos” in Zulu, is a subgenre of house music that emerged in South Africa in the mid-2010s. Personally, I describe it as house meets soul and trap (for the street/dance anthems).
