Another track called Citer for you to listen to and stream from my latest album, Kine 3.
The album came out last Friday and is available exclusively through Bandcamp — digitally, with only a few CDs left.
This is one of the few tracks on the album that still sits in that hybrid space: part Eurorack modular synthesis, part software. The beats are software, while all the melodies come from hardware.
There’s definitely a bit of **Arovane** in here too. I’m a huge fan of his work, and that influence naturally found its way into this one: fast, complex beats, loads of tiny repetitive notes constantly shifting and mutating, underneath a much more consonant, minor-key melody.
A lot of the melodic material is randomised, looping for a while before slowly drifting into something else. So it keeps moving, but never quite loses the thread.
If you like what you’re hearing, go have a look at @ecunderground on Bandcamp. The link is in the description.
Give it a listen.
