Description

After the success of their debut track "Tides," Brazilian producer Dangeon (Fabio Paiva Machado de Campos) and vocalist/songwriter Fri3ndship (Emma Friendship) are back with a bold, high-energy Drum and Bass anthem, "Games." This new track is set to light up dancefloors with its infectious blend of liquid Drum and Bass and punchy jump-up vibes, featuring Fri3ndship’s signature vocals that are both melodic and powerful. Dropping on DNBB Records on April 25th, 2025, "Games" is already making waves, having been played as a dubplate by Fri3ndship during 2024, igniting club and festival crowds alike.

"Games" brings a faster tempo and a fresh edge to the duo’s sound, blending Dangeon’s club-ready beats with Fri3ndship’s emotional and introspective lyrics. The track explores the inner struggles of navigating the highs and lows of nightlife, alcohol, and rave culture, while reflecting on the mental toll it can take. Fri3ndship describes the song as, “It’s about the games we play in our minds when we’re dealing with the highs and lows of our chosen nighttime activities. It touches on mental health, loneliness, and the cycle of isolation, but also gives a nod to the strange comfort of being under Covid restrictions and embracing that solitude.”

With its driving basslines, energetic drum patterns, and a touch of jump-up aggression, "Games" highlights Dangeon and Fri3ndship’s talent for merging different vibes and crafting something entirely new within the DNBB catalog. Dangeon adds, “This track draws heavily from sci-fi soundscapes and techno-inspired synths. The drop hits hard, giving you that rush of dopamine you get from being at a rave, but then it transitions back to the reflective lyrics, making you think while you dance. It’s about lowering the listener’s guard first, and then challenging them to reflect.”

With "Games," Dangeon and Fri3ndship have solidified their place as a duo to watch, pushing boundaries and carving out a unique space in the music scene.
