Review: Progression of bondage .... Genesis 3 The spirit of REJECTION (Genesis 3:7-12)Rooted in lies (Genesis 3:4,5) Definition of spirit of rejection: a systematic state/condition of the soul (sometimes active, sometimes passive) where there is experienced a void of real, unconditional LOVE, acceptance, and affirmation. (Inner condemnation and pursuit of affirmation is among results) Thoughts, mindsets .... DzYou are worthless; you always fail; you have destroyed your life; no one loves or appreciates you; things, others would be better without you.
dzAgents of rejection: others; events; satan Self (experiences; flesh; self-talk; spiritual wiring; inheritance) Becomes a stronghold that is transferrable and perpetuated! (Adam, before and after .... Genesis 3; Romans 5; Ephesians 2) This spirit leaves a legacy, a deep wounding; a controlling, painful legacy. (See Cain) Satan is a liar (John 8:44) .... Says you can’t get back to Him Manifestation of the spirit of rejection (not an exhaustive list) Victims and carriers are driven to seek approval Always seeking affirmation through performance, from others Overly striving to please people, to make them happyd
Eventually: resignation; blame; explosive anger; withdrawal; pacify with self-medicating activities.
Breaking the spirit of rejection .... (many times this comes in the context of pain) See the issue; face it Rooted in control vs. submission Devil lied about the Father’s intentions. (Genesis 3:4,5) (Remember God’s desire was intimacy .... Imparting His image, love, blessing, dominion through Partnership)
Apply the truth Make His Word final Authority Already perfectly accepted in Christ (Ephesians 1:3-8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 5:17) Affirm His/your authority by resisting the devil and the spirit/demon of rejection. (James 4:7) Be alert and responsive to the enemy’s agenda in your thought-life (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)Accept Reinforcement Allow/call on others to assist you! Prayer; counsel; accountability Warriors of deliverance ★★

One reason we don’t accept people for who they are is because we secretly want them to be who we want them to be!
