Jesus' transfiguration in Matthew 17 is a true mountain top experience. As important and impressive as such moments are, Jesus didn't stay on the mountain top, but led His disciples back to the valley. It is tempting for modern Christians to seek out our own mountain top experience, but Jesus is still at work in the mundane parts of life, and it is our privilege now to look for where he is working in the lives of others to draw them to faith and salvation, too.
