Jimmy Davis - At the heart of Psalm 23 we find David’s confident and comforting words “for You are with me.” Through His incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection, Jesus is Immanuel (“God with us”). Those who know Jesus as their Shepherd (vv. 1-4) and Gracious Host (vv.5-6) can be sure they have the Provision, Protection, and Promise of His presence through every dark valley, including death itself.
