The Apollo refinery is attacked by the 15th Air Force heavy bombers. During the mission the US planes are engaged by German jet fighters. Two young pilots, one German, the other American, are fighting on the opposite sides of the conflict. Their wives are waiting for them, full of compassion, love and fear.
