The dramaturgy of the concert wants to highlight the important ideas of the inventor of the saxophone, Adolph Sax: the function of the connecting element of the instrument between string and wind instrumentation and the flexibility of the saxophone sound in connection with string instruments. The concert also includes the premiere of Suburban Folk, a trio for violin, alto saxophone and cello by Marek Piacek (1972), which was commissioned for the HORTUS ARTIS 2022 festival.
